Motiv8 appeals for funds

The Manx addiction charity Motiv8 have launched an appeal for funds. If services close, there will no longer be support for young people and families affected by alcohol, drug and gambling addiction. The charity is also seeing a large rise in referrals.

20 years of Southern Dippers

Don’t all the best ideas come from the pub? While some of them may not leave the pub, Southern Dippers is proof that ideas can last. Southern Dippers started out as a small fundraising idea, but they’re now celebrating their 20th anniversary, having racked up 83 dips and raised just over £57,000.

Boots staff raise money by dressing up

Spotted in Strand Street: Disney Princesses, Hermione Granger and Popeye. The Boots staff collected money for Children in Need this year while dressed up in an array of fancy dress costumes. Better still, their fundraising was soundtracked by singer and former Boots employee David Castro.

Megan’s head shave

21 year old Megan Walkom will be shaving her very funky hair off to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Support Group, a charity that is close to her heart. She has already raised £950, and you can donate to her gofundme here.
