Islanders over the age of 30 are being invited to book their Covid vaccine, whether they have received a letter or not.
Letters are in the process of being sent out to individuals aged between 40-49 and 30-39, marking the start of Phase Two of the vaccination programme.
A gov spokesman said: ‘Manx residents in any of the age categories above 30 years or Phase One priority groups, should register for their vaccination through the online booking system or by calling 111 – even if they are yet to receive their letter. Appointments will be issued either via email or phone as soon as vaccine supplies allow.’
Based on the current rollout schedule, every adult should have been offered their first jab by the end of next month.
But the overall rollout will be slowed by a couple of weeks as a result of the JCVI recommendation that people under 30 be given an alternate vaccine to the AstraZeneca jab.
