The island’s seven day average for confirmed positive cases is around 50, the latest surveillance report from Public Health Isle of Man has revealed.
Released on Thursday, the weekly report indicates the number of new cases is continuing to fall, but that Covid remains circulating on the island.
The report details various indicators for the spread of Covid on island, including the most recent seven day daily average test positivity rate (10.4%). Of these new cases, a large majority (71%) of positive PCR tests are from the LFD pathway.
Of more interest, with the island’s schools due to return next week, most confirmed new cases are children aged between 10 and 14-years-old.
When the hospital snapshot statistic was taken, there were eight people receiving treatment for Covid in Noble’s, all of whom were symptomatic and 87.5% were vaccinated.
