Onchan Commissioners have said that Police officers are available to residents in the village twice a week.
The agreement came after a long string of anti-social behavioural incidents in the village including one incident of which the coroner said ‘contributed significantly’ to a woman’s tragic death.
Officers are available in the Commissioners’ interview room on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
A post on the local authority’s Facebook page said: ‘This is a joint working arrangement for the benefit of the public to come in and have a chat with the Police about anything which may be of concern. Appointments can be made by Contacting Onchan District Commissioners’ offices. The interview room is also available for other partner and support agencies to use and these will be publicised as and when arrangements are made. If your partner or support agency wishes to enquire about using the facility please contact our offices.’
