Police have confirmed a 12-year-old child was responsible for the fake bomb threat which led to the evacuation of Willaston Primary School on Tuesday afternoon.
At about 3pm on Tuesday a call was made which amounted to a bomb threat, with pupils and staff evacuated to University College Isle of Man.
A Police statement said: ‘As part of the investigation that occurred yesterday evening, enquiries have indicated that the person involved in making the call to Willaston School was a 12yr old local boy. He is today assisting the police with this investigation. Due to his age the boy will not be named.’
