After four wins on the bounce, FC Isle of Man welcome 18th placed Rocester to the Bernabowl this Saturday.
Chris Bass’ men, who are now sitting pretty in fourth, are the league’s top scorers so far, with 65 goals from their 17 games and prolific striker Sean Doyle being named North West Counties Division One South player of the month for October.
While the Ravens have won their last four, their most recent outing at Sandbach United on Tuesday started with a scare as they fell 1-0 down in just over 30 seconds before going 2-0 down to the home side. But a spirited performance, including two goals from Jack McVey, the customary Doyle goal and a late finish from Nathan Cardy saw the Ravens over the line.
This week’s visitors to Manx shores, Rocester, have struggled a bit so far this season, scoring just 20 goals, the second lowest in the league, although, they have only conceded seven more than the Ravens. However, the Staffordshire-based club’s current showings have not been great and despite having won 3-2 in their last game, they have lost four in six, form which has found them sitting just inside the relegation zone.
This weekend’s game kicks off at 6.30pm, gates open at 5.30 and tickets are on sale at https://www.fcisleofman.im
