Finally some good news for motorists in the south of the island as Dandara has confirmed it will be removing the temporary traffic lights on Glashen Hill.
The lights, which seem to have been in place since time immemorial, have been criticised by drivers who have faced long delays whilst Dandara has been building its new roundabout.
A 20mph speed restriction will remain in place, however, as inclement weather has hampered progress and the final coat for the road surface cannot be laid until there is a sufficiently long break in the weather.
Dry weather with mild temperatures is required to complete the works.
Dandara Housing Director Ciaran Downey said: ‘We would like to thank the public for their continued patience and apologise for the inevitable inconvenience caused.’
