Shortly after 9pm on Saturday fire crews from Ramsey and Douglas were called to a single vehicle RTC at Guthries Memorial on the Mountain Road.

On arrival they found discovered a single vehicle on its roof with two people inside. One of them had been able to get themselves out of the vehicle with crews stabilising the vehicle and using hydraulic cutting equipment to free the other occupant. They second person was then treated by paramedics.

A fire service statement said: ‘Crews were in attendance for approximately 90 minutes and left the scene in the hands of the Police. We would like thank our colleagues from the ESJCR, Ambulance and Police for their assistance with this incident.

‘We would also like to urge the public to be aware of the road conditions and to take extra care whilst driving, as there have been several Road Traffic Collisions recently.’
