Two police officers in the south of the island found themselves in the role of midwives earlier today.

The two officers, PC Bartley and PC Fargher stepped in to help deliver a baby boy in Port Erin.

A post from the Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team said: ‘They were extremely grateful to the off duty paramedic and midwife on the telephone.

‘Mum and baby Leon are doing well at Noble’s. What an amazing gift this time of year. Nollick Ghennal.’
