The gov has confirmed that deputy airport director Jeremy Spake has left his role at Ronaldsway.

Part of his email to staff has been circulating online in which Mr Spake, who famously starred in the BBC documentary series Airport, said he was leaving with ‘immediate effect’.

Unfortunately Gef has been unable to see the rest of the email at this time, but others have claims as to why he left on the comment section in the Mannin Branch Celtic League’s post.

When asked to comment on Mr Spake’s departure, a spokesman said: ‘Isle of Man Airport can confirm that the deputy airport director, Jeremy Spake, has chosen to step down from his position. We’d like to take the opportunity to thank Jeremy for his hard work and diligence, and wish him well for the future. A recruitment process will take place in due course.’

They added that there will be no further comment.
