Ravens Secure Play-off Spot
While Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Abbey Hey wasn’t the result FC Isle of Man may have hoped for, it did ensure the Ravens have secured a spot in the play-offs.
Jack McVey’s penalty was cancelled out by a stunning late free kick from Abbey Hey’s Jordan Lazenbury.

Bras For Africa
Girlguiding on the Isle of Man has collected more than 1,000 bras to be sent to Africa, where they will be sold at affordable prices by small businesses, benefitting the local economy.
Working alongside the charity ‘Against Breast Cancer’ Karen Walker, Girlguiding Island Commissioner, led a local campaign to collect used, surplus or even new bras to give them a new lease of life and raise awareness of research into secondary breast cancer.
Women were asked to deposit their unwanted bras into bra banks across the island located at Corinthians Football Club, Keystone Law, Old Courthouse, IOM Football Association HQ, FCIOM home games and Douglas Library, Victoria Street.
Karen said: ‘I am overwhelmed at the response to this campaign. We have collected several boxes stuffed full to the brim which equates to well over 1,000 bras and I am immensely grateful to the Manx community for coming together to support this worthy cause. Not only have we raised awareness of a worthy charity, ‘Against Breast Cancer’ but we have also supported a community in Africa and kept the bras out of landfill.
‘My thanks go to all the local organisations who supported the initiative by housing the bins and to Manx Independent Carriers for shipping the bras to the UK collection point.’
