The cost of charging up an electric vehicle will increase by 30% per unit from April 1.
This increase is in line with the increase in charges to domestic customers announced this morning by Manx Utilities.
As part of that 30% increase, spread between April and July in two chunks of 15% rises, Manx Utilities has also announced that electric vehicle charging will increase from 19p to 24.7p per unit.
The exception to this is the rapid charging point at the Sea Terminal which will increase from 25p to 32p per unit, an increase of 28%.
The increases in tariffs for water and sewerage utility services from April 1 will be based on the rate of CPI for the 12 months ending 30 September 2021. This rate has recently been published as 5%. As such, water and sewerage tariffs are expected to increase by 5% in April 2022.
Sustainable Generation payment remains unchanged at 8.2p.
