Douglas Council has announced new charges for its Shaw’s Brow and Bottleneck car parks.

As part of the increases, the charge for parking in the capital is going up by between 10p and 30p depending on how long you park.

From April 1, the charge to park between 8am and 6pm for one hour will increase from £2.20 to £2.30 and from £2.90 to £3.10 for up to two hours.

Other increases are as follows:

  • Up to three hours – £4 up to £4.20
  • Up to four hours – £4.30 up to £4.50
  • Up to five hours – £4.50 up to £4.70
  • Up to six hours – £4.70 up to £4.90
  • Up to seven hours – £5.80 up to £6.10
  • Up to eight hours – £6.30 up to £6.60
  • Up to nine hours – £6.50 up to £6.80
  • Up to 10 hours – £6.60 up to £7.10
  • Over 10 hours – £6.90 up to £7.20

Between 8am and 6pm on Sundays there is a fixed charge of £2. From 6pm to 8am overnight, there is a 90p per hour charge up to a maximum of £2.70.

  • Over 10 hour – £7.10

2022 Disabled Parking Spaces Sunday 8am to 6pm fixed charge of £2 with overnight 6pm to 8am 90p per hour up to a maximum of £2.70.
