The Isle of Man Art Society has announced the return of its annual Easter Exhibition this Easter Bank holiday weekend from April 15 to 18 to be held at the Villa Marina Arcade.
Once again sponsored by Ramsey Crookall, the annual event showcases the talents of the Isle of Man Art Society’s members, with hundreds of never-before-seen works of art on display in a wide range of media from oil, watercolour and acrylic on canvas, to clay, silk painting, 3D and sculpture.
This Easter marks a special occasion for the annual exhibition, which this year celebrates the UNESCO Biosphere status of the Isle of Man.
‘The Easter Exhibition is a tradition for all of us here at the Art Society’, said David Sayle, President
at the Isle of Man Art Society. ‘It’s a chance for our members to showcase their hard work over the autumn and winter, and it ushers in another season of getting out and about, exploring the island in search of the next idea.
‘Whether it’s abstract or traditional, paint or 3D, it’s impossible to ignore the influence of the Isle of
Man in every piece of artwork that our members produce. This year’s exhibition is a great opportunity
to celebrate the work of UNESCO Biosphere in helping us to sustain the island’s rich culture, heritage
and environment for generations of artists to come. I’d like to say a huge thanks to Ramsey Crookall
for their support with this important event. Our doors are open to everyone and you’re sure to find
works of art to suit every taste.’
The Isle of Man Art Society’s Easter Exhibition takes place from Friday 15 to Monday April 18, 10am
to 6pm. Admission is free.
