Ravens Soar

If you were there you’ll never forget it and if you weren’t, you’ll lie and say you were. Jack Camarda’s stunning strike and two headers from Luke ‘leaps like a wallaby’ Murray were enough for the Ravens to see off Wythenshawe Amateurs on Saturday as their promotion bid marched on. A solid all round display, which included a handful of top class saves from Matty Quirk in the Ravens’ goal, means that Chris Bass’ side will start at home next week and welcome New Mills for the play-off finals.

Just incase you haven’t heard, or seen the gov’s ever changing bus plans, Castle Street in Castletown will become one-way north-bound to all traffic from 9.15am this morning meaning vehicles will only be able to travel from Castletown Square towards Brewery Wharf.

All southbound buses will now continue to service the town by way of a loop through the town before continuing on its route further south.

Lorimers Walking

Since arriving on the island, Sir John and Lady Philippa Lorimer have been walking around the Raad Ny Foillan in sections and this last weekend they completed it with their dog Midge. Did we include it purely to use a cute picture of their dog? Yes we did.
