The owners of 1886 have submitted their planning application for its stage in Villiers Square, which is due to open on May 28.
1886 Limited has applied for the temporary erection of a stage and associated structures for four weeks in Douglas’ Villiers Square.
In the application, 1886 Ltd said it has permission from the square’s owners the Tevir Group and was successful in its applications to the Licensing Court, which granted an occasional licence for a 16 day period, subject to Fire Officer approval.
It adds: ‘The Villiers Square site will be secured when the temporary lease begins on Monday May 22. The general set up and stage build will also start on Monday May 22 with temporary items such as bar contains, mobile catering units, portable toilets and accessibility facilities brought onto and positioned on site thereafter. Production load will be on Friday May 27.
‘The site will be open to the public from Saturday May 28 to Sunday June 12 from 10am to midnight daily with music until 11.45pm, subject to Fire Office approval.’
The application adds that a noise levels controls will be in place to minimise sound disruption. You can view the full plans here.
