After a fundraiser that raised nearly £5,500 for the people of Ukraine, the organisers have decided to do it all again.

Held on Saturday April 30 at St John’s Methodist Hall, there is a whole day of events planned to help raise money.

There will be a coffee morning from 10am to 11.30am and a soup lunch from 12pm to 2pm, a raffle, stalls throughout the day with baked goods, crafts and selling various pieces of art.

Organisers Grace and Sylvia said: ‘The money we raise will be sent to a charity organisation based in Western Ukraine, City of Goodness. City of Goodness are accepting women, children and orphans from all over the country, providing them with shelter, food, medical and phycological care. They are currently using donations to build another bomb shelter, get supplies to provide for the constant arrival of Ukrainians looking for shelter and to pay for tuition, nannies and teachers since they have accepted so many children.’
