Pegg to Star in Movie About Gef

Simon Pegg has signed on to star in a film all about your favourite talking mongoose.

The film, titled ‘Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose’, has entered production in the UK.

Spotted by our own Mystic Chess, the film will focus on Nandor Fodor and his search to discover Gef the Mongoose. Minnie Driver is also signed on to play his assistant Anne with Tim Downie, Ruth Connell, Paul Kaye, Gary Beadle and Drew Moerling joining the cast.

The movie is being written by Adam Sigal. He’s said: ‘Nandor Fodor and The Talking Mongoose is such a unique story that I couldn’t believe it was true. There’s nobody else other than Simon who could embody this character and take us on this insane journey and I can’t wait to get started.’

Nandor Fodor was an investigator of paranormal activity who picked up the story of Gef in 1935 and visited the Irvings at Doarlish Cashen. The extra, extra clever mongoose, was born in New Delhi in 1852 and lived with the Irvings, first introducing himself to 13-year-old Voirrey.
