Cycling Club Isle of Man has revealed its kit for this season, ahead of its official launch at the end of the month.
The red and black kit, which was selected by the riders from a number of designs, is a nod to the colours of the Manx flag.
Chair/Media Officer Sadhbh O’Shea said: ‘Our crest with the moto “Bee ny Share”, which means “Be Better” in Manx, will feature on the front of jersey. Meanwhile, the Manx triskelion will be on the back and on the shorts, which will be predominantly black but with a red trim around the leg.
‘The crest is the same as the one used by Sporting Club Isle of Man and our sister team FC Isle of Man. It features a raven, which is one of the birds on the Isle of Man’s coat of arms. The brilliant kit, which will be worn by the team throughout our debut season, has been designed and manufactured by Hope and Glory Sportswear.’
The club, which is a sister of FC Isle of Man under the same Sporting Club Isle of Man umbrella, will be officially launched at 5.15pm on May 31 at Bikestyle in Market Hall, Douglas.
Anyone and everyone who has an interest in what the team wants to achieve, or even just to meet the team behind the club, is invited to come down to say hello and quiz team manager Conor Davies, several of the team’s riders, and board members Sadhbh O’Shea, Tony Keating, and Gill Crennell.
