Get Paid to Get Naked

Well, now we have your attention, have you ever considered being a life model?

If the answer is yes, then we have just the thing for you.

The Isle of Man Drawing Club has been running monthly pop-up “drink and draw” events across the island since 2017.

Meeting mostly in bars and gallery spaces, the group hosts two hour life drawing sessions from an ever-changing roster of nude models.

A member told Gef: ‘No prior drawing experience is necessary to attend an event, our attendees range from art students and creative professionals to parents and retirees who haven’t cracked open their sketchbook in years. All you need to bring is your favourite art supplies and a good attitude, and we encourage people to have a drink and make a friend while they’re here.’

Next Event

Isle of Man Drawing Club’s next session is Thursday June 30 in the private function room on the top floor of 1886 in Dougas from 7pm to 9pm, 30 spots are available at £10 each and tickets can be purchased online or paid in cash at the door as long as tickets last.

The group is always on the lookout for nude models, who are paid £40 for two hours (not even KFC is paying that). All body types and ages are equally interesting to draw and they’ve had dozens of models over the years, and while they sometimes go into it with some nerves, almost everyone has said they loved modelling for us and that it was a really empowering experience.
