A hybrid application for over 200 homes, retail units and a new public house could completely alter the the appearance of part of the north of the island.
The application (22/00679/B) has been submitted by Blythe Church Investments Ltd (BCL) and is for land at Poylldooey Fields, Poyll Dooey Road, Ramsey.
In its application, BCL says that it intends to build 78 new homes, a park and new road system as part of its first phase.
The total number of intended homes, including those in the principle application section, is 205. This would consist of 22 townhouses, 30 apartments, 62 semi-detached homes and five detached homes. Also included are six ‘flood resilient semi-detached’ homes and 80 ‘flood resilient’ apartments.
BCL’s application also includes 12 commercial spaces, seven kiosks and one riverside pub.
It is interesting that the application has been made at this time as the site is included within the draft Area Plan for the North and West.
