Trams!

Good news! The stretch of MER overhead cable that was damaged and then nicked has been repaired and trams are running between Douglas and Laxey again.

Ramsey Needs You

Do you want to be Ramsey’s next celebrated community artist and have your work permanently displayed in the Mooragh Park? Yes? Then read on!

Expression of Interest sought for new artwork project in Mooragh Park Ramsey. Ramsey Town Commissioner’s shelter art initiative on the Mooragh Promenade was hugely successful, gaining acclaim and wide-spread media coverage both here and across.

Ramsey Town Commissioners are seeking proposals from artists for murals or one-off artworks to be painted onto the walls of the Mooragh park shelters.

Your artwork would not necessarily need to cover the entire shelter but could be one to three stand-out paintings on the walls of the shelter. This provides flexibility and potential for multiple smaller projects or collaborations to cover a full shelter. That said, if you have a grand vision for a large installation, we want to hear about it.

If this project interests you and you would like to be considered, please apply in writing to Ramsey Town Commissioners at events@rtc.gov.im, and include the following details with your expression of interest;

– A concept drawing of the proposed artwork

– Estimated cost

– Availability

– Any other pertinent details

Expressions of interest should be submitted by 5pm on Monday September 5.
