Coastguard Called Out for Med Transfer
Douglas Coastguard Rescue Team were out in the early hours this morning after being called to assist with a medical transfer at Noble’s Hospital helipad.
Coastguard helicopter Rescue 936 made the trip over from Caernarfon to carry out the operation, working alongside the Manx Care in-flight team, the Isle of Man Marine Operations Centre, the UK Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, and the Isle of Man Ambulance Service.
The transfer was completed smoothly in calm, clear, and icy cold conditions, thanks to what the Coastguard described as a ‘well-coordinated’ team effort.
The patient was safely transported, and the Coastguard added that they wish them a speedy recovery.
