Crews Extricate Driver
Earlier on today, they were called to a house fire in Laxey
Fire crews from Laxey and Douglas have helped remove a person from a single vehicle RTC close to Strenaby farm, Lonan.
This is the second called out for the crews today.
The Fire Service said: ‘Working together with Police and Paramedics the single occupant was extricated and has been transferred to hospital for assessment.’
Earlier on today, the crews were called to a house fire on Wheel Hill, Laxey after neighbours heard the smoke alarms in the empty property.
The Fire Service added: ‘On arrival a team wearing breathing apparatus with a thermal image camera and hose reel entered and found the source of the fire in an upstairs bedroom, an electrical fault is suspected but investigations are continuing.’
