After last week’s Sean Doyle inspired win, FC Isle of Man welcome Skelmersdale United to the Bowl this weekend and we’re willing to bet you’ve heard of their manager.

The bottom of the table side is led by former French international Pascal Chimbonda, who played for Wigan, Spurs, Blackburn, Sunderland and QPR throughout his Premier League career.

However, followers of the NWCFL will know that Skem have improved markedly since the start of the season and despite their recent 10-1 loss at Bury, they have more than enough to damage the Ravens.

Paul Jones has made three changes to the squad this week with Tiernan Garvey unavailable, Eoghain Sherrard injured and Ronan McDonnell planning to play in the local leagues.

Replacing them in the squad is Alex Maitland, Furo Davies and Ste Whitley, who are all back after injuries.

While the impending arrival of the man who was part of the France 2006 World Cup squad will be a big talking point going into the game, Jones will no doubt be stressing to his team that this is just another game for the Ravens.

Last time the teams met, Skem won 2-0 to bring the Ravens’ then four game winning run to a juddering halt.

Tickets are available from TicketCo here and will also be available at the ground where cash or card is accepted.

Gates open 5pm, kick-off is at 6pm.
