Watch: Kate Brunner Introduces Covid Report

The chair of the review into the gov’s handling of Covid has released a video to go with her report being published.

Kate Brunner KC’s report includes over 3,500 pages and features transcripts of interviews with key witnesses.

Ms Brunner said: ‘I’ve produced my report with the assistance of my team entirely independently of government and what that means is the government has had no control over the content of my report, and that I haven’t shared the findings in my report with government before publication.

‘The report provides a full analysis of government’s response to the pandemic in many different areas, including education, vaccination, and care homes. It is a review and not a public inquiry. And that means that my focus has been to look in some detail at systems and processes at command structures and the like.’
