Former Buchan pupil Bevan Rodd will start on the bench for England tonight in the World Cup bronze final.

Rodd, who grew up on the island, has one try to his name this tournament having touched down when England thrashed Chile 71-0.

England play Argentina in tonight’s third-place play-off with Rodd in with a good chance of picking up a bronze medal at his debut World Cup.

The game kicks off at 8pm and yes you can see it live in Castletown Square, but maybe wear a coat.
