Police Confirm Body Found on Beach

The Police have confirmed the body of a local woman was found on Douglas beach yesterday afternoon.

The woman’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Enquiries are currently ongoing to ascertain the cause of death.

Police closed the walkway from the sunken garden near Quids Inn to opposite Jaks while officers attended the scene and removed the body.

An inquest will be held in due course.
