Peel RNLI has congratulated two of its crew members on completing their training.

Emma Le Cornu and Claire Hamer have both passed out as shore crew.

In recent weeks, various crew members at the station have been busy with assessments as they move closer towards completing their training plans in various roles.

A spokesperson said:’This role is crucial to our operations at Peel, as with every other role – without the shore crew, the boat wouldn’t be able to be launched and recovered… and let’s not forget how clean they keep the equipment!

‘Both ladies joined the station last year and have progressed quickly through their training and assessments for this role – and a fab job they have done! After joining the crew, they both found a love for the shore operations at the station and are now beginning their journeys towards head launcher and launch vehicle driver.’
