We’re looking for a Sales and Relationship Manager – here’s the details

Ever fancied working right in the beating heart of Manx media, surrounded by journalists, sales folk, and yes… the island’s most unnecessarily handsome mongoose?

Good news. Media Isle of Man – the home of Gef, Isle of Man Today and the Examiner, Independent and Courier newspapers – is hunting for new Sales and Relationship Managers.

And honestly, if you’ve been waiting for a sign to level up your career, this might be it.

You won’t be tucked away in a quiet corner.

You’ll be in the middle of a very real, very loud newsroom, where our team of journalists will be wrangling with deadlines and Gef will definitely not eating his own bodyweight in biscuits while claiming to “work on content”.

And there’s a reason it’s busy. Over the last few months, our digital audience has gone wild. Across September, October and November, almost five million stories were read on our websites – up 28% on last year. We’re one of the island’s biggest and most trusted digital newsbrand, and we’re only getting started.

Which is where you come in.

You’ll help drive sales, partnerships and commercial magic across iomtoday.co.im, Gef.im, our newspapers and the island’s biggest events. If it’s Manx, loud, and landing in front of a lot of eyeballs, you’ll probably be involved somewhere.

And with 2026 on the horizon, this is a proper fresh-start opportunity – especially for someone who wants a career rooted in the community, helping local businesses reach real people through the island’s leading news platforms.

We’re looking for someone who:

* Has at least two years of experience in sales, account management or business development (bonus points if you’ve sold ads, or dreams).
* Can charm clients (and a mongoose), hit targets and hold their own in a team meeting fuelled by coffee and chatter.
* Knows their way around digital media, engagement stats and social platforms.
* Has the energy to keep up with us

You’ll be helping to bring in the big campaigns, support advertisers, keep clients smiling, and basically make us look like we know what we’re doing (which, most days, we actually do I think).

In return, you’ll get:

* A competitive salary with commission
* 26 days’ holiday plus bank hols
* A laptop, mobile, and a pension that’s actually decent
* A friendly working environment (and endless tea and fruit)
* Free life assurance, because adulting is hard

So, if you’ve got the sales skills, the people charm, and the stamina to survive tea round, drop your CV and a short cover letter to rachel.kay@mediaiom.im and tell us why you’d be a strong fit for the team.

Who knows, this time next month you could be sealing deals, making headlines, and sharing an office with Mr Mongoose himself.

Ready to join the chaos responsibly?

Gef awaits (with biscuits).
