Ballasalla Bags A Costcutter

Published

on

Big news for Ballasalla—your snack runs and emergency milk dashes are about to get an upgrade!

A brand-new Costcutter is set to open in the south of the island, marking the first store under the brand name on Manx shores.

And it could be open as soon as next weekend!

The shop will be tucked away in the Dandara development at Reayrt Mie, specifically in Cringle Close.

Now, while this may be the first Costcutter-branded store here, the company isn’t exactly new to the island.

It already runs Mace stores in Bathurst Street (Douglas), Ballawattleworth Estate (Peel), and Birch Hill (Onchan).

Over the next few months, these shops will be getting a bit of a glow-up, swapping their Mace signage for the new Costcutter branding.

For those unfamiliar, Costcutter is a UK and Ireland chain offering all the essentials—groceries, food-to-go, newspapers, and all the random bits you only remember you need at 9.45pm.

As for when the new Ballasalla shop is actually opening? They’ve told Gef they’re working towards March 22nd, but it could be even sooner.

So, if you live in the south, your snack game is about to get a whole lot stronger.
