Emergency Services Tackle Ramsey Blaze

Emergency services dealt with a fire on Lezayre Road, Ramsey this morning, near Ramsey Grammar School and Bunscoil Rhumsaa.

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service has described the situation as ‘ongoing’ and stated they would not provide further details at this time.

Thick smoke has been seen rising west of Ramsey Grammar School’s West Building, with fire crews, ambulance teams, and police officers at the scene.

Lezayre Road was closed, and Bus Vannin had diverted services between Sulby Bridge and Ramsey via St Judes and Jurby Road.

However at 12.10pm today the road reopened.

A spokesperson apologised for any inconvenience caused.
