Extensive Search for Missing Michael

A road on the island has been blocked-off by police while a search for a missing man is ongoing.

A search and rescue helicopter has also been dispatched in the effort to locate Michael Rose.

The Isle of Man Constabulary revealed earlier today that the missing 59-year-old’s car was discovered in the Sloc area.

A police vehicle was earlier seen parked at the junction with the Ballakillowey estate, blocking-off the through access up the Sloc.

Access remains in place for residents living in the area.

A search and rescue helicopter was also seen flying above the area of the Sloc earlier today.

Police previously confirmed that the force is conducting a focused search operation in the area with specialist resources and search dogs.

The general public is being asked to avoid the area to allow the search to continue without interruption.

Michael was last seen wearing an Air Force blue body warmer with a hood, a green fleece lining, navy tracksuit bottoms, and black trainers.

Authorities have reassured the public that Michael is not in any trouble but are urging anyone who may have seen him or know his whereabouts to contact them immediately on 631212 or, in an emergency, 999.
