Monday Morning Ministerial Mayhem

It’s all change at the top of Manx politics this morning as Chief Minister Alfred Cannan gets busy with a reshuffle of the Council of Ministers.

So, if you’ve only just tuned in to this, here’s what we know so far:

Treasury Minister Dr Alex Allinson has stepped down following a letter from the Chief Minister, who said there had been a divergence in policy and a loss of business confidence in government.

Douglas Central MHK Chris Thomas has been confirmed as his replacement.

Infrastructure Minister Dr Michelle Haywood has also stepped down with immediate effect after being asked to do so by the Chief Minister.

She will be replaced by Tim Crookall MHK, returning to the Department of Infrastructure for a third time.

It’s been a busy, and slightly chaotic, morning, and there’s likely more still to come.
