Two Weeks of Bikes, Beers And Banter Returns!
The Classic TT is back!
After a little break, the Classic TT has been dusted off and will run alongside the Manx Grand Prix for the next three years, reverting back to a two week schedule.
That’s right MGP superfan and regular angry commenter Steve, from Dalby – we’re back to a two schedule. You can stop complaining now!
What we can expect: More revving, more racing, and more heart-pounding action on the Mountain Course.
Kicking off on Sunday, August 17, the Manx Grand Prix will have six practice days to get things warmed up. Then, the racing proper begins with four classic races, including the good old Junior, Senior, and Lightweight races. And guess what? They’ve added a Supersport race to spice things up.
The Classic TT itself will strut its stuff from Wednesday, August 20, with qualifying sessions running until Monday, August 25.
And when the real racing begins on Wednesday, August 27, it’s game on – with the Formula 1 TT, Lightweight TT, and Historic Junior TT ready to keep you on the edge of your seat (or hedge).
And if that wasn’t enough, the whole festival will come to a roaring finish on Friday, August 29 with the Historic Senior TT, followed by the grand finale – the Senior Classic TT.
Oh, and don’t forget the parade lap. It’s like marmite that one.
So, mark your calendars, dig out those earplugs, and get ready to experience the best of modern and classic racing all wrapped up in one epic fortnight! (Yes Steve, FORTNIGHT).
The proposed practice and race week schedules are as follows:
