Weather Threatens Manxman Crossings
The Steam Packet has issued a heads-up that tonight’s Manxman sailing to Heysham, and the return trip tomorrow morning, could face disruption or even cancellation.
Not ideal if you’ve got plans on the other side.
The evening crossing is due to set off from Douglas at 7.45pm, with an arrival time of 11.30pm.
As for Thursday morning’s return leg from Heysham, that’s supposed to sail at 2.15am and land back in Douglas by 6am, but now both are on the line due to ‘a deterioration in the weather forecast.’
Good news if you’re booked on tonight’s 7.15pm Manannan sailing from Liverpool to Douglas – no issues for that one, at least for now.
According to the Met Office, the weather’s about to take a turn for the worse with rain and wind picking up later today.
Expect heavy downpours and a gusty evening, with temperatures hitting 13°C.
While there aren’t any official weather warnings yet, it’s looking like a wet and wild one.
