Beach Burgers Incoming!

One of Douglas’s most popular burger takeaways is expanding, with a new site set to open on the beach in Port Erin.

Porter’s Kitchen, run by Kyle and Fleur Porter, has confirmed it will be opening a second location at the iconic Cosy Nook.

The new outlet will operate from the beachfront building in Port Erin, bringing the couple’s much-loved burgers to the south of the island for the first time.

Announcing the news on social media, the Porters said they were ‘so excited’ to be expanding and described the Cosy Nook site as an iconic location right on the beach.

To begin with, the Port Erin branch will run winter hours from Thursday to Saturday between 4pm and 8pm.

A limited menu will be available while the team settles into the new space, with extended hours planned for the summer season.

Kyle and Fleur confirmed to Gef that the Douglas branch will remain open, meaning the business will now operate across two locations.

Readers may recall that Kyle and Fleur opened Porter’s Kitchen in January 2025 following the closure of The Lodge at Glen Helen when its lease expired.

After building a strong following at the Lodge for their burgers, ribs and wings, the couple brought the concept to Broadway in Douglas, adapting it into a high-quality takeaway format.

Since then, the business has continued to grow, with the Porters previously outlining ambitions to expand to further locations across the island.

Speaking about the new venture, they said they could not wait to serve their ‘delicious burgers’ to customers in the south and thanked supporters for their continued backing.
