Gelatory Gearing up to Open in Port Erin
Back in March, dessert royalty Gelatory had the island collectively cooing after announcing they were ‘expecting’…
And no, not the sleepless nights, nappies and 3am feeds kind of expecting. We’re talking a brand new ‘Baby Gelatory’ set to arrive in Port Erin this summer.
After scooping up hearts (and, more importantly, actual scoops) in Ramsey, Douglas and Peel, the gelato favourites are finally heading south, with next week rumoured to be the big opening.
Things have gone up another notch after David Lloyd-Jones shared a picture of the newest arrival, the tiny ‘Baby Gelatory’ shop taking shape ahead of its Port Erin debut. And honestly… doesn’t it just look adorable?
Proud ‘parents’ Gelatory even previously shared a tongue-in-cheek ‘scan’ on social media, showing what appears to be a miniature hut happily sitting near Port Erin beach, ready for its big arrival.
A spokesperson for Gelatory said at the time: ‘We’re having a baby!
‘The stars have aligned and Gelatory is finally heading south. Gelato and soft serve will be available every day throughout the summer until 9pm. We can’t wait and hope you share our excitement.’
Translation: summer diets across the island are now officially on life support.
The new Port Erin site means Gelatory will complete the full island set, north, south, east and west, bringing its famously popular scoops to just about every corner of the Isle of Man.
