Twisted Arm is a smoky delight that that’s smooth and delicately sweet

The first batch of Outlier’s brand new rum, Twisted Arm spiced Manx rum, has been made available just in time for Christmas.

Twisted Arm is a smoky delight that that’s smooth and delicately sweet, works in cocktails and goes great with ‘route one mixers: coke, ginger, tonic and Ting’ (we think that means they played for Tony Pullis’ Stoke).

Outlier said: ‘It took Rick a year to persuade Ian that he actually might want to make a spiced rum – the result is a wonderfully smoky spiced rum that’s smooth and delicately sweet.

‘Using both Manx and off-island ingredients, Twisted Arm uses a whole range of spices, some going into the pot when the spirit was distilled, some macerated in with the spirit afterward – and some fed in with a sugar and honey syrup at the end.’

Local artist Meg Hindley has designed the rather stunning bottles.

You can order it direct https://www.outlierdistilling.com/…/twisted-arm-spiced… or grab yourself a bottle from The Wine Cellar in Douglas.

You can also buy a drink or several and try it out at The Ginger Hall Hotel, Rum Baba’s , The Mitre Hotel, Shore Hotel Laxey and Kiki Lounge.
