KiKi Lounge Named One Of Britain’s Best Cocktail Bars

Published

Big news for Manx cocktail lovers – Douglas’ very own KiKi Lounge has been officially declared one of the best cocktail bars in Britain!

That’s right, our little island is shaking (and stirring) things up, as KiKi Lounge has secured the 49th spot in the prestigious Top 50 Cocktail Bars 2025 list.

We’d raise a glass, but let’s be real – it’s already in hand.

The rankings, revealed in a fancy awards ceremony in London on February 11, are decided by the elite of the drinks world: bartenders, bar owners, drinks writers, and hospitality experts.

So, if you thought your mate who drinks mojitos in your local was the authority on cocktails, think again!

KiKi Lounge now finds itself rubbing shoulders with some of the most iconic cocktail joints across Great Britain, including Satan’s Whiskers in Bethnal Green and Schofield’s Bar in Manchester.

Not bad for a place that started life in 2020 and only moved to North Quay in 2023.

And this isn’t the first time KiKi Lounge has turned heads.

The bar has been racking up accolades, including ‘Bar of the Year’ at the Spirits Business Awards 2024 and a shiny 1 PIN Excellent rating from The Pinnacle Guide (which sounds pretty fancy, to be honest).

Plus, assistant general manager Keoghan Taylor even bagged a nomination for the ‘Rising Star’ award – which is essentially the Oscars of the cocktail world, minus the awkward speeches and unexpected slaps!

Co-founder Drew Fleming admitted they never expected this kind of recognition: ‘The Isle of Man is still finding its feet in cocktail culture, and these awards are voted on by industry experts who don’t often make it out to our little rock in the Irish Sea. So, to make the list? Unbelievable.’

Since its revamp, KiKi Lounge has become known for its tropical cocktail vibes, cutting-edge mixology, and dedication to sustainability.

Basically, it’s where you go when you want a top-tier cocktail experience – and maybe to feel a little bit posh for the evening.

Fellow co-founder Jamie Lewis added: ‘It’s been a lot of ******* hard work, to be honest.

‘Nearly two years ago, we decided to change everything – our venue, our menu, our training. This award proves we’re on the right track. Hospitality isn’t easy, especially right now, but moments like this make it all worthwhile.’

So, if you haven’t yet experienced KiKi Lounge, now’s the time.

Get yourself down there, order something impressive-sounding, and pretend you knew it was one of the UK’s top cocktail bars all along.
