Gef’s friends at Kiki Lounge have some exciting news to share, they’re moving!

Established in November 2020, in the midst of the global pandemic, Kiki Lounge emerged as a tropical oasis in challenging times.

With the cosy basement lounge due to close at the end of the month, Extra Fancy’s Jamie Lewis and Drew Fleming have confirmed they will be reopening at their new home on Douglas’ North Quay.

Jamie said that with a planned opened date of Wednesday October 18, pending licensing approval, Kiki Lounge will continue to offer the service and cocktails it has become famous for, while expanding the range and, for the first time ever, branching out into food.

He said: ‘We are elated and humbled by the journey so far. Loch Promenade will always be our first home, and holds so many special memories from across our various pop-up adventures there, but we are eager to take Kiki Lounge to new heights.

‘It’s not just about moving—it’s about evolving. Kiki Lounge isn’t just passing through, we’re here to stay, and this exciting transition to 32 North Quay (formerly JC’s) is not merely an expansion; it’s an elevation of everything Kiki represents.

‘We couldn’t be more thrilled to embark on this next chapter and share it with the incredible community that has shaped us.’

The kitchen, he said, will allow Kiki’s to offer up what Jamie promised to be ‘new and innovative’ foods including an ‘exciting menu of bar snacks, blending nostalgic comfort food with tropical flair’.

The move will also allow Kiki’s to offer outdoor seating on the Costa del Quay and a new layout over two floors which will allow the business to cater for more parties.

Drew added: ‘As we embark on this exciting journey, we remain committed to our core ethos— integrity, quality, and an ‘Extra Fancy’ experience. We can’t wait to write this new chapter in the Kiki Lounge story, and we’re incredibly grateful for the community that will continue this adventure with us.’

Last orders will be called on Loch Prom on Saturday September 30, with the new bar planned to open on Wednesday October 18.
