No Filbey’s In Market Square This Year

Island foodies, brace yourselves… Filbey’s Little Food Shack won’t be popping up in Castletown Market Square this year. Cue the sad trombone.

The team took to social media this week to break the news.

Apparently, the Castletown Town Commissioners weren’t feeling it and declined the shack’s proposal for monthly pop-ups.

‘We are very disappointed as we absolutely loved our time there last year,’ Filbey’s said, promising fans they’re cooking up other tasty pop-up plans around the island.

Naturally, the announcement caused a mini meltdown online.

The commissioners, however, hit back, saying they had ‘corresponded some time ago’ with Filbey’s and ‘forwarded a number of dates this year that are available for Filbey’s to attend in The Market Square’.

So, what now?

Filbey’s says it’s exploring new spots to bring ‘maximum Filbeys’ to the island.
