Pub Group to Take Over Government
The tenancy agreement will see Tynwald closed for refurbishment before reopening as Barbaric Cost.
The Manx gov has today been taken over by pub group Faks.
The tenancy agreement will see the Faks Group close down Tynwald for refurbishment before reopening as Barbaric Cost.
Having already taken over some community pubs, the group will be taking on the task of turning around the failing bureaucracy giant.
Announcing the takeover, Minister Phil Maglass said: ‘We’ve run out of ideas, we’re shutting pools, not building schools and generally just tinkering around the edges, so we thought it was about time to give someone else a go.’
Spokeswoman for the Faks group said they can’t wait to get started on trying to salvage the island and have some bold plans for the relaunch.
Isa Takin-de-Peez said: ‘We were surprised to be approach by the gov, but we like a challenge and there are none harder than this. Customers, sorry taxpayers, can expect to see some immediate changes including buses running at chucking out time, litre water bottles being replaced by pints and an option to pay your taxes while ordering a mixed grill through one app.’
The arms-length agreement will see the gov retain administrative control over the NSC astro pitch’s booking system and issuing bus timetables to arrivals at Ronaldsway.
