Tea Junction to Serve Final Slice
The owners of the Tea Junction Mark Davison and Jason Larrosa have announced it will close when its lease ends next year
The owners of the Tea Junction Mark Davison and Jason Larrosa have announced it will close when its lease ends next year, citing rising costs and turbulent inflation.
Based in Castle Street, the announcement has left customers gutted as they paid tribute to Mark and Jason in the comment section.
Having run the popular tea, cake and gin cafe for the last nine years, they said they will approach their departure with ‘mixed emotions’.
Saying it is ‘bittersweet to say goodbye’ Mark and Jason said they’re ‘excited about the opportunity to pass the venue to new owners’ and said it could lend itself to a superb evening dining and cocktail venue.
They said: ‘As you will know we’ve built up a loyal customer base over the years. Sadly, as with many other catering establishments, the prosperous days are becoming sparse. Rising wage costs, coupled with a turbulent inflationary world have meant falling revenue making it increasingly difficult to sustain the concept in its current format.’
