Customers have been struggling to crack open their morning brew after the Isle of Man Creamery confirmed it is investigating issues with milk carton caps.

The creamery said some customers have recently experienced difficulty opening the lids on its milk cartons and apologised for the inconvenience caused.

In a statement, the company said: ‘We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and frustration this may have caused.

‘Customer experience and product quality are extremely important to us, and we are taking this matter seriously.’

The creamery confirmed it is now carrying out an investigation alongside carton supplier Tetra Pak to identify the cause of the problem and resolve it as quickly as possible.

To help with the investigation, customers who have had trouble opening a cap are being asked to send in photos of the inside of the lid where a batch code can be found.

The creamery said the images will help identify which specific batches of lids may have caused the issue.

Customers can either post the images on the Isle of Man Creamery’s social media pages or email them to customerservices@isleofmancreamery.com.

The statement added: ‘We appreciate your patience and understanding while this investigation is ongoing, and we thank our customers for bringing the issue to our attention.’
