Are You Going Coast 2 Coast?

If you haven’t yet registered for the Coast 2 Coast walk this weekend, you better hurry up as you only have until Friday.

The Sight Matters’ walk, sponsored by Conister bank, is open to all ages and abilities and starts at 1.30pm – with sign in from 12.30 – beginning at the NSC.

An expected 400 participants will set off on a 12 mile walk along the Heritage Trail, finishing at Peel.

Those who prefer a shorter walk can join at St Johns, which starts at 3.30pm.

Sight Matters’ Coast 2 Coast walk has become a symbol of community participation with people taking it as a day out with friends, as well as an opportunity to raise funds for Sight Matters

Whatever an individual’s motivation for taking part, the fact that it is a non-competitive community event means that it unites those from many different walks of life.

Interested walkers can register for the Coast 2 Coast through the Sight Matters’ website, by visiting the VIP Store in Strand Street, or by visiting Corrin Court in Onchan. Participants have until this Friday to sign up.

All proceeds will directly contribute to supporting Sight Matters’ services, ensuring the continued provision of assistance and support to individuals with visual impairments.
