Eastern Claim Young Farmers’ Crown

After three amazing nights of singing, dancing and Manx as the hills comedy, Eastern Young Farmers were crowned the overall winners of this year’s Young Farmers’ Concert.

All four clubs took to the stage with a range of sketches including Muppets, thick cuts, a yellow submarine called W (and its anchor), as well as some brilliant dance routines.

With all the quality and range on display, it is often hard for any group to stand out, but Eastern did just that with their take on Love Island which included a rough ride in some bath tubs, a furry and a synchronised swimming which will live long in the memory.

THE MAIN AWARDS

Best Junior Performer – Hayden Bolton of the Northern Club (absolutely brilliant during the Ramsey Bakery song)

Best Dance Routine – Southern YF Opening Dance

Best Individual Performer – Tom Cain of the Eastern Club

Best Overall Act – The Synchronised Swimmers from the Eastern Club

The Farmers will be back later this year with their Tractor Runs, which raise thousands for charity and, of course, the world’s greatest Farmers’ Concerts will return to the world’s greatest theatre next year.
