Elvis has Left the Capital Building… well, not yet, but soon

A little less conversation, a little more tandem bike action

On 13th of July, the vocals cords are being warmed up and the hair gelled.

With a little less conversation and a lot more action, Capital International Group’s Chairman, Anthony Long and Managing Director of Group Services, Les Coates are gearing up for a performance of a lifetime, as they embody the legend himself, Elvis Presley.

Embracing the spirit of the icon, the two are taking on a challenge like no other.

Dressed as Elvis, they’ll jump on an old-school tandem bike, and tackle the 37.73-mile journey around the TT course, all for charity.

This September, both Anthony and Les will travel to Arusha, Tanzania, alongside the volunteering team from Capital International Group to support the Huruma Orphanage and raise a target of £3,000.

The Huruma Orphanage was set up in 2012 and looks after children between the ages of 4 and 17. Most have been orphaned following the death of one or both parents, often as a result of aids or other life-threatening illnesses. The orphanage takes in children and provides basic education, vocational training, and a safe place to live. They also help the children to integrate back into society and to find work when they are old enough to do so.
