Fire Crews Raise Thousands
They hiked/ran 51 miles, gained 18,700ft elevation, drove 1,375 miles and rode four ferry crossings.
Fire fighters who took on the Six Peak Challenge across the British Isles have presented the money raised to two charities.
The conditions in October were far from perfect, with the crew battling winds and rain to complete their mountainous task.
Over the six days Sam Quilleash, Elliott Moore and Amber Carridge hiked/ran 51 miles, gained 18,700ft elevation, drove 1,375 miles and rode four ferry crossings.
Their efforts were well supported by the island’s community and £2,428 they raised has been split between The Fire Fighters Charity and Isle Listen.
