One Last Push for ‘Coats For Winter’ Donations

Get your coat, Live at Home’s scheme is nearly done.

For the past three months, Live at Home has been running ‘Coats For Winter’ – an initiative that sees charities, communities, and businesses collect unused coats which are then given to people in need for free.

Operations Manager, Alison Lester said she ‘would like to thank all our rail sponsors for the donated coat rails, our rail location hosts and of course the Isle of Man public, without whom this campaign could not have been so successful.’

Despite the Manx seasons being unpredictably winter-like throughout the year, the scheme is nearing its end as spring and summer (hopefully) approach. But there is one last call to arms to donate any coat that may be catching dust in your closet. You know the one. You look at it guiltily everyday, hanging there at the back, staring at you longingly as you put on your other coat with the fluffy hood. The poor thing. Give it some love. Donate it and let it be worn by someone who can get more out of it.

On 16 & 17 March, Live at Home will be at the Strand Shopping Centre between 11am-4pm for anyone who would like to take, donate, or swap a coat. Or if you’d just like to pop in and find out more about Live At Home and how they could potentially support you, that’s also encouraged.
